Nothing Without Us – Ranger Station Art Gallery

Meghan Carich

Raised in Saskatchewan and the Yukon Territories, Meghan has been influenced by old art forms, emotions, and the human journey throughout her life. She is touched by ‘raw art,’ finding something extraordinarily deep, thoughtful, and expressive in the delivery of old art forms. She also feels great appreciation for the beauty and complexity of nature.

Because she was quite ill as a baby, Meghan was delayed in her learning. She became a contented child simply watching the world around her while trying to understand the natural order of her life. She was told not to look to other people to determine what she could or could not accomplish, but to find her parameters. Introspective by nature, Meghan was to discover that there is always much more to the picture than what the various scenes playing out in front of her might first reveal.

“I have found myself inspired by the deep psychological and sensitive areas in one’s life. The life lessons we all face in one time or another, as well as the need to overcome and the drive to make ideas and dreams real are also very symbolic to my art.
