Kickstart Disability Arts and Culture Workshop Series: Social Media and Marketing

March 9, 2019 from 1-3pm at The Gathering Place, 609 Helmcken Street, Vancouver

Facilitated by:

Wendy D – Kickstart Disability Arts and Culture’s Board President, and practicing artist.

Cathy Browne – Kickstart Disability Arts and Culture’s Board Vice President, PR veteran.

Social media and marketing is fast paced and constantly in flux. The content people want can feel illusive to the producer, especially to an artist with a blossoming practice. Online platforms act as tools, and when used by artists they can be very valuable and helpful. Cathy Browne and Wendy D are offering their mindsets, techniques and strategies in regards to this subject in a workshop. In this two-hour session they will discuss concrete knowledge such as sites, hashtags, and content in the digital and promotional world. To inspire a motivated and successful culture of disabled artists, access to this information is vital, so this workshop is free to Kickstart member and PWYC to the public. By providing support and encouragement from working artists, this workshop will instill confidence and prosperity in those who participate.

Free for Kickstart Members and The Gathering Place Members.

$10 for the general public. Attendants are FREE, but require a ticket.

ASL Interpretation will be available.
The Gathering Place is a wheelchair accessible space.
