I am one of nine children and grew up in a religious household until I was 16. I have lived a large portion of my life living below the poverty line even though I worked more than full time. I have two sons from my first marriage who are both amazingly creative.
I came out as Queer when I was in my late 20’s (the first in all of my family on both sides, that we know of). I have a long history working in Mental health/Alzheimer’s/Developmental disabilities, and forensic psychiatric care. I am an immigrant to Canada from the U.S (Oregon), I have lived here for five years now. I am Married to an incredible nonbinary woman for 8 years. Her & the boys are the love of my life. I have a super interesting dynamic family back in Oregon, my Dad is a retired Hypnotherapist & Mom is a retired councillor and have been married 50years. They inspire me everyday!
I currently work for a non-profit. At a safe consumption site and was injured on the job and cannot return. Making stained glass brings me to life! I went through a tough depression after I realized that I will not make a full recovery.
This glass seriously has helped pull me out of that dark place. I owe a huge thank you to my grandma Steven’s to whom this would not have been possible without her generous gift of Stained glass! I produce glass under the name Adidaglass, because when I was young, I could not pronounce Elizabeth correctly and would say Adidabet! It just seemed fitting to merge Adidabet & glass= Adidaglass!
